Upsall Stud

Upsall Stud is run by mother and daughter team, Christine Hewitt and Amy Poltinger.

For many years they have enjoyed riding quality horses and during that time, have found that trying to locate a truly genuine, quality horse, has proved to be very difficult.  As a result, they have actively bred a number of youngsters for themselves.  Several years ago, they took the decision to look for a suitable property with land, in order to purchase a number of quality broodmares with excellent temperaments and bloodlines.

Having rented a yard in Warwickshire, they finally purchased a small farm in North Yorkshire, in the shadow of the beautiful Hambleton hills, where they have excellent riding on their doorstep.  Upsall Stud is easily accessible to all major road links via the A1M/A19.

Christine has ridden, hunted and competed for over 40 years and her daughters have followed in her footsteps.  Being members of the Ponyclub and Riding Clubs, they have competed in all disciplines as well as hunting and having fun!

Both daughters still compete regionally, one eventing and showjumping and one riding side saddle internationally, both with much success.
