Checklist
When bringing your Mare to stud
1. Return nomination form with date of mare's arrival.
2. Your vet package is paid directly to E.R.S veterinary practice.
3. The stud fee must be brought to stud with your mare and be either cash or cheque made payable to Upsall Stud. All livery accounts will be invoiced monthly.
4. Hind shoes removed. All mares arriving at the stud with hind shoes on wil have to be stabled until the shoes are removed to avoid injury to any other mares: (please be aware there will be a handling charge of £5.00 for catching and holding etc.)
5. Please ensure your mare has a well fitting head collar and her passport. All tack and clothing is left at owner's risk. Upsall Stud accepts no liability for loss or damage to any such property. Any lost head collars will be replaced at the owner's expense.
6. Please ensure your mare is wormed on arrival. Wormers can be supplied and administered by Upsall Stud and charged to your account. Please be aware, should you wish us to worm your mare she will have to be stabled for 48 hours.
7. If your mare requires any special medication or supplements, please ensure they come with her.
8. If your mare has any dislikes, please inform us.
9. You are welcome to visit any time, but please telephone first as we are a busy working stud farm and not a livery yard!
10. We will always endeavour to keep you informed of your mare's progress, but you can always telephone or email us. (Please try to avoid telephoning in a morning as this is always a very busy time).
11. Insemination can be carried out at the stud with fresh semen collected from our own stallions based here at Upsall Stud; stallions from throughout the U.K. and stallions which are based in Europe.
